No Lies

No lies escape

these lips of mine.

I choose not to intertwine

my words with deceit.

Words placed

incorrectly on the tongue

will make another bleed.

I have bled too often

in the past

I do not wish

that on another.

It pains me to see

someone suffer.

So place your lips

on mine,

and then you will discover.

That every word I say

is true, as well as

every verse

written.

If only you would read

between the lines

and see the message hidden.
