Skating

the ice breaks

I sink below the surface

as I lie among

every mistake

I have made

in my life.

I cannot lie

or pretend I

am blameless,

it would be

shameless to try.

I am human

not given

a book of instructions

the day I was born.

Are you guilt-free?

Then cast the first stone.

The water grows colder

as I sink deeper

for my sins.

Game of life

no one wins

no one gets out alive

only the strong survive.
