Message in a Bottle

I threw a bottle into the ocean.

It contained a message from me.

I also placed inside the bottle

the heart that I wear on my sleeve.

Yesterday I found the bottle

on the shore it was empty.

I presume you withdrew its contents

and watched as they drowned.

Now my heart lies deep

in the fathoms of the sea, never again to be found.
