Interlude

written January 2023 (while waiting to board my flight at Charles De Gaulle Airport)

So many people.
So many faces.
All of them headed towards different places.
What is their story?
Are they happy or sad?
Will they be met with love when they disembark?
We will never see these faces again.
We are all just passing through,
homeward bound or en route to a vacation.
This airport is not our final destination.
It is only a brief moment, an interlude in all our lives.
