Flawed (part 2)

written December 2022

I was not put together with cotton wool or candy floss.
I have no exterior gloss.
The battles I have fought were where my bone and skin moulded.
With no get-out clause, I folded many times.
And my face carries age lines.
You may skim or skate over the surface if you wish but know this.
I will never ask for your validation or seek applause.
I am perfectly imperfect.
FLAWED.
