Numb

Winter reigns.

Ice forms in my veins.

Numb.

It relieves my pain.

Spring arrives.

Hope renews.

Plant new seeds.

I no longer bleed.

Summer shines.

I feel alive.

Autumn falls.

The leaves turn brown.

And so, again, I lose my ground.

Life is an endless cycle of growth, then pain.

But what we cannot cure, we must endure until our breath fades.
