Only Skin Deep

She may be a feast for your eyes, but does she have a soul?
Will she hold you in your darkest hours or still be there when you are old?
Is her beauty merely skin deep, gazed upon by more than you?
By lustful, lascivious eyes who only see her youth.
Her skin will fade in time, just as mine has.
But if she has no soul, she will not remain as beautiful as she is now.
