A camera clicks, capturing your smile.
A photograph captures a moment in time, but does it tell the truth?
Does it show the scars and wounds etched on your skin?
Or open a window to the soul that lives within?
It is only one moment of stillness amid chaos.
Never a true reflection of self.
It does not tell your story or your hell.
It is merely an image created, designed to be flattered by anyone who looks upon the gloss.
But all it does is cover up the dirt and dross.
