Circle of Life

(my own words)

A heart that has received a hammer blow will lose its rhythm.
Grief does not end when the tears cease to flow.
We cling to the memories of long ago as we try to contain our sorrow.
But the passing of time does nothing to fill the void in our lives.
And so, we must learn to live with our grief.
Death is a thief, a parasite and a disease.
But it is part of the circle of life,
just like the autumn tree that sheds its leaves.
We trust that we will see them again, ashes to dust.
Their spirit is always with you and will remain, let that be a comfort as you deal with the pain.
