This poem is called “Little Girl” and it is a reminder that she is still there inside us!
All she needs is love, and that is all she ever wanted!
This might resonate if your childhood was not that great, or you feel you have lost your way.
“LITTLE GIRL”
Remember the little girl so innocent and pure, full of life, energy and fun.
The little girl whose life had just begun.
Where is she now that life has f**ked her?
Buried underneath the roles of carer, friend or mother, of wife, lover or any other title given.
She has had to deal with grief heartbreak and pain.
Of little wonder, that she adrift these days.
Lost in a sea of endless demands, school did not prepare her for any of this.
She has had to learn the hard way by going through it, crying and breaking, then coming together again.
Now she is tired, all she wants is to go home, so she can again be free to roam.
Without the weight of life on her shoulders, this is the curse of getting older.
